Spring - finally!

With all the snow we had this winter, I thought for sure the area would be flooded when it all melted. At least in my area, the ground amazingly seems to have sucked up all that water and flowers are starting to bloom.
Of course, spring for me means back to baseball -- my favorite season of all.
So has everyone been watching "Food Revolution" with Jamie Oliver? The British chef is trying to help the good people of Huntington, WV, to clean up their acts and feed their families with more healthy food. I'm really big on healthy eating for my family (mostly since I don't cook a lot -- my mom is great about providing our meals most days of the week!) and my kids and I talk about nutrition a lot. Change is hard, as the families in Huntington can surely attest, and making a kid eat brocolli over french fries is always a challenge. But I think we can all try some simple steps to help our kids maintain the proper relationship with food and move a little more. One little step at a time means big changes over time, so let's keep working on it.
Get outside and enjoy the sunshine. There's lots to do this month!
